Creating a lead magnet is one of, if not the most, essential stages in your marketing funnel. Have you ever created what you thought was a KILLER lead magnet, but it ended up generating zero new leads? Well, you’re not the only one.
Let’s talk about the steps you should take to create a KILLER lead magnet.
When writing a lead magnet, the first step is to determine who your target audience is. Understanding your potential client demographic is critical to a successful lead magnet.
When you identify your prospect’s specific pain points, you are ready to tailor a lead magnet to attract them.
Once you’ve chosen what solution your lead magnet will be centered around, it’s time to create a KILLER TITLE. Think of how often you’ve clicked on something because the title drew you in, and you wanted to learn more, probably more times than you can count.
When crafting a killer title, specificity matters. Nobody wants to find out “how to lose 10 pounds in 10 days” because it’s not specific, so you’re likely not going to believe it’s true. I’ll say it one more time, specificity matters! Here are a couple of examples:
“The one thing your stock broker doesn’t want you to know about investments,”
“The three secrets that your doctor might be keeping from you regarding your health.”
